Petrie Track

Gulf Harbour School is delighted to announce that the Stride to Rideathon made the difference and the “Petrie Track” will be proceeding as a legacy to John Petrie and his 18 years as Principal at Gulf Harbour School.

The "athon" (cash and school shop) raised $10 677.90   Our "Give a Little" raised $1 516.00, which gave us a total $12 193.90. Additional to this we had a donation from Fairway Bay developments of $2000 and our successful funding application grants of $19 000.

Thank you for your huge effort and support. These funds secure the Track and any additional funds will now go towards bikes for students to use.

World Vision 40 hour famine for 2016

Last year Gulf Harbour school raised around $1500.00 to support malnourished children in Bangladesh.

This year World Vision is focusing its efforts on helping refugee children, particularly those caught up in the Syrian Refugee crisis.

Every dollar we raise as a school will have a profoundly positive effect on providing much needed care and resources to the 5 million children caught up in this terrible dilemma.

Help us, help World Vision by saying yes and supporting your child to raise funds
on the 10-12 th June 2016.

Mathletics

What is Mathletics?
Mathletics is New Zealand's most used educational website. It is the next generation in learning, helping students enjoy Maths and improve their results. Mathletics covers the full Year 1 to 13 NZ Maths Curriculum, so there are plenty of opportunities to support or extend students.

Benefits of Mathletics:
Students love it, motivating them to achieve better.
A wide range of tools and resources allow students to explore mathematical concepts and strategies.
Parent reporting enables parents to monitor their child's progress.
It is used and trusted by more than 800 NZ schools and 10,000 schools worldwide.

How do I join?
Pay for a year's subscription via the school shop or at the office. $32.00 per child. Your child will be issued with their log in details when this has been processed. If your child had a Mathletics subscription at GHS in 2015, the log in details should be the same.

Please contact your child's teacher or Kirsten Kiata (k.kiata@ghs.school.nz) for more information about Mathletics.
