GHS Readathon
October 15-29
In memory of Margaret Mahy the big fundraiser for Gulf Harbour School
this year is a Readathon - “The Great
Stick Your Head in a Book- Athon.
Money from this event will buy new books for classrooms and ICT
equipment for students. Another aim is
to encourage and promote reading for pleasure – so we see this is a win, win!
The Readathon will take place over a two-week period at the start of
next term October 15-29. We have a school wide goal of reading 200,000 pages
during this time. If we reach our goal
we will celebrate together in style with a whole school banana split!
Please help your child or children to collect as many sponsors as they
can – every little bit helps.
Next term have fun reading together and encouraging them to read as we
head towards our goal of 200,000 pages.
